Terms of service for Psychotherapy
Confidentiality and Record Keeping
Confidentiality is of great importance to the therapeutic process, for this reason the information that you share with me will be kept in the strictest of confidence.
There are exceptional circumstances when I have a legal duty to share information without your permission, for example;
If I believe that you or someone else is at serious risk or harm.
If information is required by law.
If you give consent for your information to be shared.
I will always endeavour to contact you first if possible to discuss my concerns and what actions I may need to take.
To maintain ethical supervision practice, I attend monthly one-to-one supervision. During this supervision I will share non-identifying details of our work together with my supervisor.
Data protection
I am insured by Holistic Insurance Services, your details will be kept for 5 years on completion of the service you access in line with insurance requirements. If on paper they will be kept in a locked cabinet. Online documents will be stored on google drive, which is private and password protected.
Professional standards
I am based in the United Kingdom and governed under UK jurisdiction, although I also work with clients internationally. I am professionally trained and an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) MBACP (Accred). My practice is supervised and I work within the ethical framework of the (BACP). My registered member of the BACP 377241.
Payments and appointments
You can currently only pay via bank transfer. I will give you your unique reference number so your payments can be tracked.
Each counselling session will last for 50 minutes. You agree to pay 100% of the cost ahead of each session when booking. This secures your appointment and will cover the cost of cancelling your appointment without rearranging.
Cancellations and missed appointments
Please email if you need to rearrange or cancel an appointment. 100% of the session cost is payable if you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your session and 50% of the session cost outside of the 48 hour timeframe. You will be able to book another appointment once this payment is received. There will be no additional cost if your appointment can be rearranged within the same week.
It is your responsibility to remember your appointment times and contact your counsellor in the event of any changes.
Price increases will occur from time to time.

Terms of Service for Contract and Critical Incident Support
A general service agreement will be individualised and issued to you based on the needs and support you require. This agreement may be terminated by either party at any time in writing (email is sufficient).
Compensation
For the services performed under the agreement, the Psychotherapeutic service and Company agree on the following.
£60.00 hourly rate for any agreed work conducted, and agreed time spent, on-site or online including any cancellations.
100% payment is expected prior to completion of work and the company will receive and invoice.
From time to time the rate of the Psychotherapeutic services service will increase.

Confidentiality and Safeguarding
Confidential information obtained from the Company or its employees, will remain confidential indefinitely unless there is a risk of harm to others, information is required by law or if consent is given for information sharing.
Brief notes may be taken, these are stored electronically which is password protected. I engage in supervision where content of discussion will be reviewed. This is confidential. Any notes taken will be kept for 5 years in line with adequate insurance cover.
