Counselling, Psychotherapy and Supervision Experience.

My work as a counsellor is delivered online or via telephone. I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, domestic and sexual abuse, relationship and family issues, work-related stress and childhood difficulties and/or traumas. In my work I recognise everyones experience is different and it is important to put the client at the centre of their feelings and emotions. I use a variety of techniques from my training and experience, which include cognitive behavioural techniques and mindfulness. I am not there to fix the issues as such, but to be there alongside the client on their journey to discovering their own answers and potential.

I have extended experience within Higher Education which includes the development of FdSc Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Skills degree. My experience as a lecturer supported the delivery of this programme to the future generation of counsellors. I have worked extensively in supporting students academically and pastorally within a counselling and psychoeducational capacity.

I have provided drop in services and individual counselling to local businesses and their employees on an ad hoc basis, on-site as well as online.

I have delivered more intensive therapy programmes through contract work as a live-in Counsellor for a treatment centre in Europe.

I offer supervision to support other counsellors with their caseload of clients.
